Florida Vacation-Day 4

On the fourth day of our vacation, we headed back north to see some of the other keys.

Bye bye Key West:

The drive on the Overseas Highway is so gorgeous that we had to pull over a few times just to take some photos.

We then stopped at Big Pine Key, which is the National Key Deer Refuge, in search of some key deer. Key deer are an endangered deer that live only in the Florida Keys. We drove around for awhile, but then we finally found a couple.

These little guys were not shy. Once they saw me, they actually started running towards me.

We also spotted this gal:

And we saw some hawks. The hawks actually seemed to be hawking us. They were actually following us and swooping down pretty close to us. It was kind of scary.

And we saw some iguanas:

After Big Pine Key, we headed up to Marathon to see the Old Seven Mile Bridge.

We then drove to Robbie's on Islamorada to feed the tarpon.

But the pelicans wanted some food, too.

We then finally drove up to our hotel in Key Largo where we saw this guy:

And caught the sunset:

By the way, I watched the Amazing Race finale tonight, and I thought it was pretty funny that they seemed to follow the same itinerary as us.
